O dwelling-place that has fallen into ruin,
Time has clothed it in the vicissitudes of fortune.
Where are those with whom I was at ease—and those
after whom I became one who took heed?
Time turned upon them with a single turn,
stripping away companionship and leaving only a trace.
And Time has had its fill of you;
long have you had your fill of it.
