1. تَأَمَّل سَماءً أَظلّت عَلَي

    كَ فيها مَصابيحُها تَزهر

    Gaze upon a sky that has shaded me

    In it are lamps blossoming

  2. وَأَرض نُقابِلُها بِالعَرو

    سِ وَالبُرج شَمسُها جَعفَر

    And an earth we face with pyramids

    Its sun is the star Ja'far

  3. وَمَسحَبُ نورٍ غداة الرَّبي

    عِ أَنفاسُه المسك وَالعَنبَر

    And a draft of light the morning after rain

    Its breaths are musk and ambergris

  4. خِلالَ شَقائِقِه أَصفَرٌ

    وَأَضعاف أَصفرِه أَحمَر

    Among its anemones yellow

    And multiples of its yellow redder

  5. وَلِلماءِ مُطَّرَدٌ بينه

    يَضيقُ بِآذيِّه المَصدَر

    And for the water a constant flow between them

    Narrowed by its injury the source

  6. وَلِلناطِقاتِ بِأَكنافِه

    دَواعي اِشتِياق وَمُستَعبَر

    And for the eloquent ones at its edges

    Yearnings of longing and expressed

  7. يُساوِقه البَرّ من جانِب

    وَمن جانِب بَحره الأَخضَر

    The land accompanies it from one side

    And from one side its green sea

  8. مَجال وحوش وَمرقى أَنيس

    فَيا عُرفَ لهو وَيا مَنظَر

    An open space of beasts and a watering place of companions

    So excellent an orchard and what a scene

  9. وَيا حُسن دُنيا وَيا عِزَّ مُلك

    يسوسهم السائِس الأَكبَر

    And oh beauty of the world and oh pride of kingdom

    Ruled by the Greatest Ruler

  10. إِمام بِه أَمَرَ الآمرو

    نَ بِالعُرفِ وَاِستُنكِر المُنكَر

    With Him the order of the Commanders

    With propriety and the prohibition of wrong
