Oh, if only I could have hope
Of a blind man busy with his livelihood
I would neither be exhausted nor anxious
My insides stirred by sorrows
Nor would my heart be like a disturbed den
Attacked in an instant by misfortune
How many blessings have become misfortunes
Upon the unlucky, troubled nights
I gave my love to the unfaithful
Where are those who betrayed and wronged me
Oh what a pity, beauty is robbed of
Its splendor by a miserable fate
While it is like a flower in full bloom
It is hurt like a thorn, deprived of luck
While it is like the sun in its glory
Lighting up the good and burning hot
There it has died down, its flame extinguished
Creating, from its fiery light, ashes
Truly, beauty, if it is a corpses' mound
With flowers of dew sprinkled on it
If a meadow delights your eyes
It has certainly saddened your heart
