Your eyelids have weakened your body with sickness,
No, but my heart, it has pained it with torment,
And indeed, your fever is from a fire kindled
In a cheek of yours that does not conceal its inflammation.
The sickness came to it seeking light from it.
O beauty of his cheeks, from a fire raised on a banner!
What is it with his fever that has flowed onto a lip,
I have continued to fear kissing it with my mouth?
It has made the effect of kissing in his mouth
A shield for the seal of that bashful smile.
