رِفْقاً أَبا إِسْحَقَ بالْعالَمِ

حَصَلْتَ في أَضْيَقَ مِنْ خاتِمِ

Gently, father Ishaq, with the world

You have squeezed into tighter than a ring

لَوْ كانَ فَضْلُ السَّبْقِ مَنْدوحَةً

فُضِّلَ إِبْليسُ عَلى آدَمِ

If merit were judged by who came first

Iblis would have been preferred to Adam
