بِعَونِ اللَه تَمَّ الشَرحُ نظماً
وَنَثراً مخجِلاً دُرَّ النِظامِ
With God’s aid, the commentary was completed in verse,
and in prose, concisely gathering the poem’s pearls.
وَمسكُ خِتامه مذ طابَ نشراً
أَتى تاريخُه طيبُ الخِتامِ
And since the musk of its close wafted sweetly,
its chronogram came: “The Fragrance of the Close.”
