1. الثار دونك يا ليث الوغى الثارا

    فليس غيرك عنا يكشف العارا

    The blood revenge is for you, O lion of battle

    None but you can remove our disgrace

  2. جرد سيوفك من اغمادها فلقد

    آن انتضاها على الجار الذي جارا

    Unsheathe your swords from their scabbards, for indeed

    It is time to unsheathe them against the treacherous neighbor

  3. وانظم جسومهم وانثر جماجمهم

    انا عهدناك نظاما وتتارا

    And throw their bodies about, scatter their skulls

    We know you to arrange them, and scatter them

  4. وروّ من دمهم بيضا وسمر قنا

    ومن لحومهم وحشا واطيارا

    And water the white and brown ground with their blood

    And the beasts of prey, and birds with their flesh

  5. واترك ديارهم تشكو الانيس بها

    ولا تدع منهم في الدار دبار

    And leave their homes crying over their idols

    And leave none of them in the houses

  6. واعجل بقتلهم من قبل ان يلدوا

    لكفرهم فاجرا في الارض كفارا

    And hasten to kill them before they give birth

    To the wicked unbelievers in the land

  7. فيا حليف الردى أبشر فسوف ترى

    ليثا تدور المنايا حيثما دارا

    So rejoice, O ally of destruction, you shall soon see

    A lion wherever destinies turn

  8. فلست والله يا نسل الخنا حسنا

    بل اللئيم الذي لا يحفظ الجارا

    By God, O progeny of treachery, you are not good

    Rather, the vile one who does not protect his neighbor

  9. غدا تنوح عليك الغانيات اذا

    ما جس للضرب عيدانا واوتارا

    Tomorrow, the singers will wail over you

    When the touching of strings and instruments is mentioned

  10. فلا تقسه بمن لاقيت ان له

    سيفا يقلد آجالا وأعمارا

    So do not compare yourself to those you met

    Who carry swords determining lifespans

  11. تظن جمعك ذا تنجيك كثرته

    من بأس من لم يخف جما واكثارا

    You think your great numbers will save you

    From the might of one who did not fear crowds and multitudes

  12. نجم اغرّ به تهدى طلائعه

    وفي سماء الوغى تلقاه غرّارا

    A star provoked, its vanguards give guidance

    And in the heavens of battle you find it blazing

  13. أخذ الفوارس في الهيجا احبّ له

    من اخذه قاصرات الطرف ابكارا

    He has taken the horsemen in the fury more beloved

    To the glances of the doe-eyed maidens

  14. يجلو دجى الحرب ان ابدو الظلام وغى

    كأنما اضرمت اسيافه نارا

    He dispels the gloom of war if darkness comes

    As if his swords sparked a fire

  15. تجوب عرض الفلا طولا عساكره

    وينتهي السير فيهم حيثما سارا

    His armies traversing the expanse of gravel plains

    Marching as far as wherever they marched

  16. لكل عادية بيضاء تحسبها

    شهبا بليل الوغى اطلعن أقمارا

    You would think every white-flanked mare

    In the dark of battle, stars rising

  17. بقودهم ملك رحب البنان له

    ينقاد كل عنيد كان جبارا

    Led by a king vast of build, to him

    Every stubborn tyrant would be submissive

  18. البأش واليأس والرأي السديد ومن

    في العز أمسى على الاعداء كرارا

    The hero, despair, sound opinion - and he who

    Has brought humiliation upon the enemy

  19. اخو الندى يشبه المهدى من تركت

    له المكارم حتى الحشر تذكارا

    Brother of generosity, resembling the Guided One, who left

    To him noble deeds until the Day of Resurrection as a memento

  20. مجري الدما بانابيب القناة ومن

    اسال غيث دم الابطال مدرارا

    Shedder of the blood of heroes in streams

    And he who made the torrent of war pour in a current

  21. ومن على سابح قد خاض ليل وغى

    والنحر بحر جرى بالموج تيارا

    Leave the horses whose bridles are devoid of horsemen

    Beneath armor and the clamor of war burst forth

  22. التارك الخيل خلوا من فوارسها

    تحت العجاج ونقع الحرب قد ثارا

    The stirring of resolve, determination, and reason when

    A brave heart and mind in existence rose in flight

  23. القالق الهام بالعضب الحسام اذا

    ما طاش لب وعقل في الورى طارا

    So say to whoever enjoyed the fury then turned

    His back, the houses besides you today have become encircled

  24. فقل لمن راح من راح الوغى ثملا

    بدائه دونك اليوم الدوا دارا

    If he saw a palace not attained by a confidant

    No kingdom of Chosroes or houses were mentioned to him

  25. فلو رأى قصر ما حاز حار ولم

    تذكر له دولة كسرى ولا دارا

    And if you weighed the kings of the earth altogether

    They would not equal a tenth of him in war

  26. ولو وزنتَ ملوك الارض قاطبة

    به لما وزنوا في الحرب معشارا

    He whose palm did not clench

    Except to seize the bridle, spearhead and sword

  27. تعود البسط لم يقبض أنامله

    إلا عنانا وعسالا وبتّارا
