    arrayed in the jewels of her stars, she adorned herself.

  3. She plunged them into an engulfing flood of her terror;

    they bore up against her through their night march, until she cleared away.

  4. It was as though the knots of deepest darkness had been taken early in hand

    by a hand of radiant dawn, which then untied them.

  5. And as though her stars, upon her haunches,

    were shields on the rumps of black steeds that turned away.
