O sons of Thaghr, you are not like my sons if I am not united with you, Arabs against non-Arabs

Leave sleep, I'm afraid it will trample you as you are amid hopes and dreams

A cup with the mother of death, its circulator heads

Towards the people of the cup, urged by the daughter of generosity

So turn back the faces of the horses towards abhorred Keriha

Lamenting openly among the Romans the loss and orphanhood

It prances from the meadows hovering in the morning

Over the sun which it did not frighten at night over the stars

They arrived with eggs in Gail like striking necks

    Reddened by beating with stones

In its runoff streams hidden by its twisting path

Lest the streams be hidden by stoning

The clashing of swords against the head of every infidel

Is more beloved to my hearing than the banging of drums

By Allah, everything past is like its kindling

    Flowing fervently to heated battle

It talks to the soul about daring as if

It flies to war, yearning, away from peace

Its patience illuminates it while it is a parchment

To write it safety from harm and brokenness

It attacks with the hidden edges of the swords when they appear

Free men, free of the darkness of oppression's darkness

It has energy in the body that brings out its soul

Just before the limit leaves it from the body

It cannot be ransomed by flesh or blood

But by what is in the bone to the bone

    Steadfastness, when death comes wide-mouthed

Echoing the throaty roar of war

It has the eye of one accustomed to death, so its heart

With the disposal of the deed of ignorance upon knowledge

By Allah, if you fail to defend its land

Then your atmospheres in the earth are like scattered stars

Your honour leads to disgrace and lowness

Clearly, kinship casts you with what you cast.

The lands of people are not your lands

Nor are their neighbours like your neighbours and friends

Aid your land, others’ land will not avail you

Though many barren sands did not avail a mother

Let go those whose love you reciprocated and connected

To me as the loyalist is tied to the brand

Be content with the dear homeland in a place

And die in a quarter of your quarters and boundary

    And never try out expatriation

For the mind will not allow trying poison
