بياض الشيب تكرهه الغواني

ويعجبها سوادٌ في الشباب

The maidens abhor the whiteness of old age

And are pleased by the darkness in youth

وشيبُ لحى الزناة فدتك

ضراطٌ في اللحى عند القحاب

By your life! The gray hair of adulterers

Is but a blemish in their beards in the eyes of critics
