ك وأهلي من سائر الأسواء

O Abu Ahmad, I would sacrifice myself

and my family for you from all afflictions

كيف كان انحطاط جعسك في طا

عة شرب الدواء يوم الدواء

How was the decline of your digestion

in obeying to drink medicine on medicine day?

كيف أمسى سبال مبعرك النذ

ل عريقاً في المرة الصفراء

How did the saliva of your pure spittle

become turbid at the yellow occasion?

يا أبا أحمد ونصحك عندي

واجبٌ في الإخاء فاحفظ إخائي

O Abu Ahmad, your advice to me

is a duty in brotherhood, so keep my brotherhood

رب ريح يوم الدواء دبورٌ

شوشت في عصاعص الأغبياء

The wind on medicine day is going away

making noise in the bushes of fools

قدروها فساً وقد كمن الجع

س لهم في مهب ذاك الفساء

They reckoned it a mischief while jaundice

lay in ambush for them in the blow of that mischief

فإذا الفرش في خليج سلاحٍ

ذائبٌ في قوام جسم الماء

So the mattresses in a gulf of weapons

melting in the constitution of the water's body

فاتق الله أن تغرك ريح

عصفت في جوانب الأحشاء

So fear Allah that a wind fascinates you

which blew in the sides of intestines

لا تنفس خناق سرمك عنه

أو تخلي سبيله في الخلاء

Do not breathe gently your colic from it

or let it go in the toilet

والغذاء الغذاء فاحذر بأن تفس

و فوق الفراش بعد الغذاء

And food, food so beware that you get spoiled

above the mattress after food

احترس إنها نصحية شيخٍ

حنكته تجارب الآراء

Be cautious, it is the advice of a sheikh

whose wisdom has been seasoned by experiences
