O master unrivaled in his virtues,
A creation that has no match,
O giver of wealth while fortunes fail,
Withholder of fate from the neighbor,
Why am I thirsty for clear wine in Eden
When your generous hand flows there?
So let me quench my thirst with pure clarity,
Drawing a draft made mellow by its aging,
As though fine musk were sprinkled on it
When your honor sheds repute’s garb.
