أُخفي اِسمَ مَن أُحِبُّهُ مَخافَةً

وَذِكرُهُ في القَلبِ شَوقٌ وَأَرَق

I hid the name of the one I love in fear

And the mention of him in my heart is yearning and sleeplessness

شُبِّهَ بِالوَردِ الجَنِيِّ خَدُّهُ

وَخَدُّهُ مِن ذاكَ أَندى وَأَرَق

His cheek was compared to a tender rose

And his cheek is more dewy and tender than that
