إِن بَدَّلوا أَوَّلَهُ آخِراً

وَبَدَّلوا الثاني بِالآخِرِ

If they changed the first to last

And changed the second to the last

حَدَّثَ عَن أَنفاسِهِ آخِرَ اللَي

لِ وَعَن جَفنٍ لَهُ فاتِرِ

The last of night would speak of its breath

And of an eye-lid to it drooping
