إِسمَع وَقاكَ إِلهي ما تُحاذِرُهُ

فَخَيرُ ما وَقِيَ الإِنسانُ ما حَذِرا

Hear and obey your God in what He forbids

For the best that protects man is what he avoids

مَضروبُ أَوَّلِهِ في نِصفِ آخِرِهِ

جَذرٌ لِأَوسَطِهِ إِن حاسِبٌ نَظَرا
