I ransom you, my drinking in a tavern

And my regret being far from companionship

Summoned me so eyes may find rest in me

Yet inflamed them with destitute company

    Appraising them together if sold

Barely a loaf’s worth in their clothing

I have not seen youths except singing

As if their singing striking swords

Except the band I fled from

Appealing for mercy from a Kind Lord
