Greetings to the house I do not visit
Though an intimate person resides there
And though its curtains conceal it from my sight
A passion that makes life pleasant and pure
A passion that brings joy when present
And when absent, ignites desire’s fire
With it, limbs softly bend as if
A rod stirring beneath clothes
I’m content with imagination shuttling between us
Though my eyes get no share
For fear that hostile tongues accuse us
And the critic desires and finds fault
It's as if the eyes of every onlooker
Spy on lovers' gestures
