إذا قالَ ما رِدْفي وشعري أجبتُهُ
كثيبٌ مهيلٌ فوقَهُ حيَّةٌ تسعى
When he asks what my rump and my hair are like, I answer him:
A dune of shifting sand, with a serpent slithering atop it.
وإنْ قالَ هل ترعى عذاري مُوَرِيَّاً
أقولُ لهُ إيْ والذي أخرجَ المرعى
And if he asks, “Does she graze upon my cheek-down?”—speaking in double entendre—
I tell him, “Yes—by Him who brought forth the pasture!”
