ووعدتَ أمسِ بأنْ تزورَ فلم تزر

فغدوتُ مشغولَ الفؤادِ مشتتا

ليَ مهجةٌ في النازعاتِ وعبرةٌ

في المرسلاتِ وفكرةٌ في هل أتى

I have affection in parting, sorrow
