لو كانَ يرضى بحكمي

في الحسْنِ سودٌ وبيضُ

لقلتُ للسودِ سودوا

وقلتُ للبيضِ بيضوا

I'd have told the blacks, "Be blacker!"

And told the whites, "Be whiter!"
