اعتزلِ الناسَ ومِلْ

عنهمْ بنفسٍ صادقهْ

Turn away from people and be done

With them with a sincere soul

صارَ الرباطُ كاسمِهِ

والخانقاهُ خانقَهْ

The monastery became like its name

And the hermitage a strangler

والناسُ قد تصنَّعوا

وليسَ فيهمْ بارقَهْ

People have become pretentious

And among them there is no lightning flash

إلا قليلاً قال عن

دنياهُ أنتِ طالقَهْ

Except a few who said about

His world, "You are divorced"
