إياكَ منْ غضبي عليكَ فإنَّهُ

سمٌّ يجلُّ الدهرَ عَنْ درياقِ

Beware my wrath upon you, for it is

A poison that time cannot heal.

واحذرْ أهاجيَّ التي لو قلتُها

طارتْ بأجنحةٍ إلى الآفاقِ

And beware my raging words, for if I spoke them,

They would fly on wings to the horizons.
