لما اعتدى لولو سقَوْهُ طلا

كاسِ العذابِ علقمَ المشروبِ

When Lulu was wronged, they gave him to drink

A cup of torment, though bitter the drink.

وبالسياطِ ثقَّبوا جلدَهُ

تباً لهُ مِنْ لؤلؤٍ مثقوبِ

With whips they did pierce through his skin

Woe to him, a pearl now pierced through.
