قبَّلْتُها للتلاقي

تقبيلَ شاكٍ وشاكرَ

I kissed her upon our meeting

A kiss of longing and of thanks

وقلتُ شوقيَ بادٍ

قالتْ ووصليَ حاضرْ

And I said my yearning had passed

She said my union was at hand
