ولمّا اجْتَليْنا منْ نُجومِ قِبابِنا

سَنا كلِّ خفّاقِ الرِّواقِ بِغورِ

When we had dispelled the stars in our celestial sphere,

We visited every fluttering thing in the abyss.

زَرَيْنا على شُهْبِ السّماءِ بشُهْبِها

متى شِئْتِ يا زُهْرَ الثّواقِبِ غوري

We visited the falling stars in the sky with their falling stars—

Whenever you wish, O flower of the towering ones, sink down.
