1. عَلَى قَدْرِ مَا يَلْتَاحُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْحُسْنِ

    أُكَابِدُ مِنْ شَوْقٍ إِلَيْهِ وَمِنْ حُزْنِ

    In proportion to what is attained of that beauty

    I suffer from yearning for it and from sorrow

  2. لَطَائِفُهُ أَبْقَتْ عَلَيَّ فَكُلَّمَا

    تَعَدَّيْتُ طَوْرِي فِيهِ غَيّبَنِي عَنِّي

    Its charms have remained with me so whenever

    I exceed my proper bounds therein it makes me forget myself

  3. حَنَانَيْكَ تَكْفِي مُهْجَتِي مِنْكَ نَظْرَةٌ

    وَيَا فَوْزَ قِدْحِي إِنْ رَضِيتَ بِهَا مِنِّي

    Your affection suffices my innermost being a glance from you

    And oh my triumph if you are pleased with it from me
