1. وَكَأَنَّمَا صُوَرُ الزَّجَاجِ وَقَدْ رَمَتْ

    أَيْدِي الْمِزَاجِ عَلَى الْكُؤوسِ حَبَابَا

    As though the glass portraits had been pelted

    By the hands of wine on the cups like bubbles,

  2. مَلِكَانِ قَدْ قَعَدَا قُعُودَ تَشَاوُرٍ

    عَمَّتْ جُيُوشُهُمَا الْجِهَاتِ قِبَابَا

    Two kings who sat conferring seriously

    While their armies spread over the lands like tents.
