شِفَاءُ عِيَاضٍ لِلنُّفُوسِ شِفَاءُ

فَلَيْسَ بِفَضْلٍ قَدْ حَوَاهُ خَفَاءُ

The healing of Iyaad is a healing for souls

So it's not a secret virtue he has concealed

هَدِيَّةُ بِرٍّ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِجَزيلِهَا

سِوَى الأَجْرِ وَالذِّكْرِ الجَمِيلِ كِفَاءُ

A gift of righteousness that for its abundance

Only reward, beautiful mention, sufficed as recompense

وَفَى لِنَبِيِّ اللهِ حَقَّ وَفَائِهِ

وَأَكْرَمُ أَوْصَافِ الكِرَامِ وَفَاءُ

He did justice to the Prophet’s right of loyalty

The most generous of all noble traits being loyalty

وَجَاءَ بِهِ بَحْراً يَقُولُ بِفَضْلِهِ

عَلَى البَحْرِ طَعْمٌ طَيِّبٌ وَصَفَاءُ

He brought it like a sea saying through its merit

The sea has a sweet and clear taste

وَحَقُّ رَسُولِ اللهِ بَعْدَ وَفَاتِهِ

رَعَاهُ وَإِغْفَالُ الحُقُوقِ جَفَاءُ

And the Prophet’s due after his death

Is to tend to him, neglecting rights is harshness

هُوَ الذُّخْرُ يُعْنِي فِي الحَيَاةِ عَتَادُهُ

وَيُتْرَكُ فِيهِ لِلْبَنينَ رِفَاءُ

It is a treasure that helps outfit one’s life

And leave heirs residual wealth

هُوَ الأَثَرُ المَحْمُودُ لَيْسَ يَنَالُهُ

دُثُورٌ وَلاَ يُخْشَى عَلَيْهِ عَفَاءُ

It is the praiseworthy legacy that neither

Decadence nor destruction can touch

حَرَصْتُ عَلَى الإِطْنَابِ فِي نَشْرِ فَضْلِهِ

وَتَمْجِيدِهِ لَوْ سَاعَدَتْنيَ فَاءُ

I was eager in spreading the fame of his merit

And glorifying him if capacity allowed
