1. يَارَوْضَةً لِلأَدَبِ الْمُجْتَنَى

    أَغْرَقَهَا الشَّامِتُ فِي حَوْضِ

    O garden of refined literature

    The critic has flooded it with his pool

  2. قُلْنَا وَقَدْ بَلَّلَهَا مَاؤُهُ

    لاَ يُنكَرُ الْمَاءُ عَلَى الرَّوْضِ

    We said, as its water soaked it:

    Water should not be denied to the garden
