  1. لَكَ الْحَقُّ الَّذِي يَجِبُ

    وَفَضْلُكَ لَيْسَ يَحْتَجِبُ

    You have the right that must be fulfilled

    And your grace is not concealed

  2. وَدُونَ عُلاَكَ مَا تُنْمَى

    إِلَيْهِ السَّبْعةُ الشُّهُبُ

    Without your highness, the seven stars do not shine

    And above the son of the Virgin is a son

  3. وَفَوْقَ ابْنِ الْبَتُولِ ابْنٌ

    وَفَوْقَ ابْنِ الْبَتُولِ أَبُ

    And above the son of the Virgin is a father

    A visitor came to me from you

  4. أَتَتْنِي مِنْكَ زَائِرَةٌ

    يَقُودُ هَدِيَّهَا الأَدَبُ

    Her manners guided by etiquette

    She visited the son of Hussein, but he

  5. زَرَتْ بِابْنِ الْحُسَينِ فَمَا

    لَهُ فِي الْحُسْنِ مُنْتَسَبُ

    Has no attribution to beauty

    And she called out, "O pleased one, you have narrated

  6. وَنَادَتْ بالرَّضَيِّ لَقَدْ

    حَكَيْتَ وَفَاتَكَ الشَّنَبُ

    And your loss has passed away."

    Exalted is God, who grants

  7. تَعَالَى اللهُ مَنْ يَهَبُ ال

    كَمَالَ وَنِعْمَ مَا يَهَبُ

    Perfection and excellent gifts

    Her meanings flirt with me

  8. تُغَازِلُنِي مَعَانِيهَا

    فَتُسْفِرُ ثُمَّ تَنْتَقِبُ

    Revealing and then hiding

    But sorrow has spoiled the joy

  9. وَلَكِنْ نَغَّصَ الْمَسْرَى

    وَدَهْرِي كُلَّهُ عَجَبُ

    And my whole life is a wonder

    And she hinted to me, and passion

  10. وَأَوْحَتْ عَنْكَ لِي وَصَبَا

    تَخَطَّى مَجْدَكَ الْوَصَبُ

    Has surpassed your glory

    So I became like the companion of one gone astray

  11. فَصِرْتُ كَصَاحِبِ الضلِّي

    لِ دُونَ الدَّرْبِ أَنْتَحِبُ

    Lamenting away from the path

    For you are my highest treasure

  12. فَإِنَّكَ ذُخْرِيَ الأَعْلَى

    وَمَعْقِلُ عِزِّيَ الأَشِبُ

    And fortress of my noblest zeal

    You are the sum of my causes

  13. وَأَنْتَ جَميعُ أَسْبَابي

    إِذَا مَا أَعْوزَ السَّبَبُ

    When causes are lacking

    I found you my equipment and richness

  14. وَجَدْتُكَ عُدَّتِي وَغِنَى

    يَدِي إِذْ أَذْهِبَ الذَّهَبُ

    When gold disappears

    If you had not kept me back

  15. فَلَوْلاَ أَنَّكَ اسْتَبْقَيْ

    تَنِي وَالْعَقْلُ مُسْتَلَبُ

    While my mind slips away

    And with much flowing pearls, a people

  16. وبالدر النثير شعب

    ت صدعاً ليس ينشعب

    Where no rift comes between

    I sacrifice for you the stars of green

  17. فدتكِ كَوَاكِبُ الْخَضْرَا

    ءِ لاَ عَجَمٌ وَلاَ عَرَبُ

    Neither non-Arab nor Arab

    And you remain for eternity in clouds

  18. وَدُمْتَ الدَّهرَ فِي سُحُبٍ

    مِنَ الآلاءِ تَنْسَحِبُ

    Of blessings that pour forth
