1. وُجودُكَ حيَّ المُلْكَ والدّينَ والدُنْيا

    وَجُودُكَ أحْيا المَجْدَ والسّيرةَ العُلْيا

    Your existence revives the kingdom, religion, and life

    Your generosity revived glory and the sublime conduct

  2. وجدُّكَ أوْلى الأمْنَ واليُمْنَ والهُدى

    وجدّكَ جلّى الخطْبَ والمُوئِدَ الدّهْيا

    Your determination secured safety, prosperity, and guidance

    Your resolve elucidated crises and spread abundant bounty

  3. لكَ اللهُ منْ ملْكٍ سَعيدٍ زمانُهُ

    تكنّفْتَنا عدْلاً وأوْسَعْتَنا رَعْيا

    God granted you a blessed prosperous reign

    You have enveloped us in justice and provided us ample care

  4. إذا ألِمَتْ أو أمّلَتْكَ عِصابَةٌ

    تُواسي الذي اسْتَجْدى وتأسُو الذي أعْيَى

    Whenever a faction pained or hoped to pain you

    You console the imploring and give respite to the weary

  5. ألمْ تَرَ أنّ الدّهْرَ أذْعَنَ طائِعاً

    لِما شِئْتَ لا يُعْصيكَ أمْراً ولا نَهْيا

    Have you not seen that fate yields submissively

    To your will? None disobey nor gainsay you

  6. فقابِلُ عيد مُقْبِلٌ لك بالمُنى

    وطالِعُ سعْدٍ حاكِمٌ لكَ بالبُقْيا

    So meet the festive day that comes to you with wishes

    And the rising of a blessed fortune that endures with you

  7. وداعٍ دَعا حَيىَّ على بَيْةِ الرِّضا

    فإنْجازُ وعْدِ اللهِ أصْبَحَ مأتِيّا

    A farewell that bid live the one in the abode of acceptance

    For fulfilling God's promise has come to pass

  8. هلُمّوا الى تقْبيلِ راحَةِ يوسُفٍ

    بمَنْ وجْهُهُ البُشْرى ومَنْ كفُّهُ السُقْيا

    Come to kiss the hand of Joseph

    He whose face is tidings and whose palm is watering

  9. ألا في سَبيلِ اللهِ نصْرُ نَبيِّهِ

    فحَيَّ تحيّاتِ العُلا ذلِكَ الحَيا

    Indeed in God's cause, supporting His Prophet

    Long live such sublime greetings, greet long live

  10. هُمامٌ أجَدَّ الدّينَ بعْدَ اخْتلاقِهِ

    وألْبَسَهُ منْ عدْلِ أيّامِهِ وشْيا

    A resolve that renewed religion after its dissension

    And clothed it in the justice of his days and decree

  11. وفرّقَ بيْنَ الحقِّ والشّكِّ إذْ جَرى

    علَى سَنن الفاروقِ في هَدْيِهِ جَرْيا

    And separated truth and doubt when they clashed

    Following the ways of Al-Farooq in his guidance and course

  12. فمِنْ نورِهِ الأرجاءُ باهِرةُ السّنا

    ومِنْ ذِكْرِهِ الأفواهُ عاطِرَةُ الرَّيّا

    His light made the horizons radiant

    And his mention made lips fragrant with freshness

  13. أهابَ فلبّى الفتْحُ داعِيهِ إذْ دَعا

    وأصْرَخَهُ النّصْرُ المؤزّرُ إذْ أيا

    Ambition responded to his call and victory roared to his cries

    He is the rain in munificence and the stars in ambition

  14. هوَ السُّحْبُ جوداً والكَواكِبُ همّةً

    وبدْرُ الدُّجى وجهاً وشمْسُ الضُحى رأيا

    The full moon in appearance and the midday sun in perception

    If he guarded the turns of fate for a day with his army

  15. فلَوْ راعَ صرْفَ الدّهْرِ يوْماً بجَيْشِه

    لأصْبَحَ نِسْياً آخرَ الدّهْرِ منْسِيّا

    He would make its eve forget its morn in oblivion

    They are a people who upheld the faith in its beginnings

  16. منَ القومِ شادُوا الدّينَ بَدْءاً ودافَعوا

    بأسْيافِهمْ عنْ رُكْنِهِ الوهْنَ والوَهْيَا

    And with their swords defended its weakened pillar and frailty

    They are a people who sacrificed souls as though

  17. منَ القومِ جادُوا بالنّفوسِ كأنّما

    يُسَقّوْنَ في وِرْدِ الرّدى الشّهْدَ والأرْيا

    They were pouring in the meadow of strife honey and perfume

    They are the seal of messengers, Ahmad

  18. منَ القومِ خاتِمَ الرُّسْلِ أحْمَدٍ

    وهُمْ عضّدوا التّنْزيلَ والحَقَّ والوَحْيا

    And they supported revelation, truth, and inspiration

    Full moons to the questioner or oceans to the asker

  19. بُدورٌ لِسارٍ أو بُحورٌ لِسائِلٍ

    فمَنْ تأتِ منْهُمْ تلْقَ أرْوَعَ بَدْرِيّا

    So which of them would you meet but find most radiant?

    So from Adham his Messiah clothed

  20. فمِنْ أدْهَمٍ أضْفى علَيْهِ مَسيحُهُ

    رِداءً كلَوْنِ البُرْسِ ألحَفَ زَنْجِيّا

    Him in a robe the color of velvet, wrapped purple

    And from Ashqar fleeter than lightning outstripping the breeze

  21. ومِنْ أشْقَرٍ كالبَرْقِ يسْتَبِقُ الصَّبا

    ومِنْ أشْهَبٍ يَفْري أديمَ الدُجى فَرْيا

    And from Ashhab flowing the garb of darkness in effusion

    And from red Ahmad beneath armor as though

  22. ومنْ أحْمَرٍ تحْتَ العَجاجِ كأنّهُ

    سَنا شَفَقٍ يلْتاحُ في اللّيْلَةِ الدَّجْيا

    A glow of sunset dissolving in the darkened night

    And from Ashhal the stallion whose redness

  23. ومنْ أشْهَلٍ رشّ النّجيعُ احْمِرارَهُ

    وقد سامَتِ الهيْجاءُ مِرْجلَها غَلْيا

    Was caressed when passions were stirred into fervor

    And the noble Aṣfar whose ornaments were brightened

  24. وأصْفَرَ حَلاّهُ الأصيلُ نَضارةً

    ووشّى بنَيْلِ اللّيْلِ أعرافَهُ وشْيا

    With the strings of night adorned with pearls

    A people like notches splitting through mountains

  25. عِرابٌ كَما تنْصاعُ فُتْخٌ كَواسِرٌ

    إذا اسْتَعْجَلوها منْ مَرابِطِها جَرْيا

    Pouring forth from their strongholds in throngs

    It is sacrilege that their shirts outpace them

  26. حَرامٌ عليْها أنْ يَفوتَ قَنيصُه

    ولوْ أنّها تبْغي الفَراقِدَ والجَدْيا

    Even if they seek the sedentary and weak

    They carry not fire distrusting it

  27. ولا يحمِلونَ النّارَ عنْ ثِقَةٍ بِها

    سَنابِكُها تسْتَحْضِرُ الزّندَ والوَرْيا

    Its braziers summoning spark and flame

    The imaginations of their minds in adversity

  28. حَشاياهُمُ عندَ الكَرى صهَواتُها

    فأحْلامُهُمْ بالسّبْيِ صادِقَةُ الرّؤيا

    Are dreams of captivity fulfilled in their visions

    Indeed in God's cause your conduct

  29. ألا في سَبيلِ اللهِ سيرتُكَ التي

    يُنادي بِها الإيمانُ حيَّ هَلا حَيّا

    That faith proclaims, "come to life," "long live"

    You have illuminated the world so its face shone

  30. تجلّيْتَ للدُّنْيا فأشْرَقَ نورُها

    وقدْ كانَ وجْهُ الدّهْرِ ذا مُقْلَةٍ عَمْيا

    When before it was of frowning blindness

    So how many triumphs publicly proclaimed for God

  31. فكَمْ نُصْرَةٍ للّهِ جَهْراً قَضَيْتَها

    وكمْ نِعْمَةٍ نَعْماءَ قضّيْتَها خَفْيا

    And how many subtle mercies distributed

    And how many dark sorrows you have clarified

  32. وكمْ كُرْبَةٍ جلّيْتَ داجٍ ظَلامُها

    وَداعٍ لنَصْرِ اللهِ لمْ تولِهِ اللأّيا

    Calling for God's victory though none responded

    And how many a dune relied upon your victory

  33. وكمْ وثِقَتْ بالنّصْرِ منْكَ كَثيبةٌ

    بعثْتَ بِها لا تعرِفُ الجَهْدَ والوَنْيا

    You dispatched though they know not fatigue or lassitude

    Shaking the regions of your enemy with their foes

  34. تُدوِّخُ أقطارَ العَدوِّ بعَدْوِها

    وتَقْهَرُهُمْ قتْلاً وتُرْهِقُهُمْ خَزْيا

    Vanquishing them in killing and disgracing them in humiliation

    Until none remained but those their lids protected

  35. فلمْ تبْقَ إلا مَنْ حمَتْها جُفونُها

    أو الشّنَب المَعْسولُ والشّفَةُ اللّمْيا

    Or the soft mustache and the smooth lip

    The bending branch of the delicate twin palms

  36. وأهْيَفَ ساجِي المُقْلَتيْنِ إذا انْثَنى

    تثنّى لَنا غُصْناً ولاحَظَنا ظَبْيا

    When it bent, bent for us a branch and glanced at us a gazelle

    Opportunities passed between us and them

  37. جرَتْ سانِحاتٍ بيننا وبوارِحا

    فكانَتْ لنا غُنْماً وكانت لهُمْ نَعْيا

    Becoming spoils for us and wailing for them

    O wise sovereign whose justice encompassed

  38. فيا مُحْكَمَ المُلْكِ الذي عمّ عدْلُهُ

    جَميعَ الوَرى إنْ أشْكَلَ النّصُّ والفُتْيا

    All the world's expanse, intricate the texts and jurisprudence

    He whose word is decisive and whose decision guidance

  39. ومَنْ قوْلُهُ فصْلٌ ومَنْ فصْلُهُ هُدىً

    ومَنْ مُلْكُهُ رُشْدٌ بهِ أذْهَبَ الغَيّا

    And whose rule is rectitude by which he banished caprice

    For some purpose God granted you the kingdom, born to rule

  40. لمَعْنًى حَباكَ اللهُ بالمُلْكِ ناشِئاً

    وكُنتَ بأهْلِ العِلْمِ في المَهْدِ مَهْدِيّا

    And you were guided from the cradle by the learned

    So beneath you the forbearing pour out for its beauty

  41. فدونكها يصبو الحليم لحسنها

    وتسبى عقول السامعين لها سبيا

    And the minds of listeners are captivated by it, captured

    It enslaves the noble poetry however freely soaring its peak

  42. تصيِّر حر الشعر عبداً وإن يكن

    يحل من الإبداع غايته القصيا

    It trails the train of glory from its flowing train

    It folds the length of the tall and fells the lofty

  43. تُجرِّرُ ذيْلَ الزّهْوِ عنْدَ جَريرِهِ

    وطائِيِّهِ تَطْوي وتُكْنِدُ كِنْدِيّا

    The charm of rule trembles at its hearing like your hands trembling the Yemeni blade

    The fruits of a heart pure in its affection for you

  44. ويهْتَزُّ عِطْفُ المُلْكِ عندَ سَماعِها

    كهزّة كفّيْكَ الحُسامَ اليَمانِيا

    The nights pass while it remains living

    So you persist, most enduring of kings, immortalized

  45. نَتيجَةُ قَلْبٍ مُمْحِضٍ لكَ وُدَّهُ

    تَبيدُ اللّيالي وهْيَ باقِيَةٌ تَحْيا

    And steadfastest for God, purest star

    Your satisfaction conveys the pleasure of the Divine

  46. فلازِلْتَ يا أبْقَى المُلوكِ مآثِراً

    وأمْضاهُمُ في اللّهِ أبْيَضَ هِنْدِيّاً

    And loving you is a treasure in death and life

  47. رِضاكَ لرِضْوانِ الإلاهِ مُبَلِّغٌ

    وحُبُّكَ ذُخْرٌ في المَماتِ وفي المَحْيا
