I will not stop seeking your father's approval

Though time brings despair or wounds

My tents were struck in its protection, while

My lambs and cattle graze by it at ease

Until I look upon his face through my own

With care that heals hearts and sets them free

Can I rightly journey from his abode in vain

While pulpits echo with your name aloud

I dwell in its protection as you see best

What pleases him, your wisdom outweighs mine

In it the sword of zeal is unsheathed

In it the flints of vigilance are struck

And He who began this grace may restore it

And He who closed the paths may open them
