لَعَمْرُكَ ما أغارَ على عدوٍّ
كجَيْشِ النّصْرِ بورِكَ منْ مُغيرِ
By your life, none has raided an enemy
like the army of victory—blessed be its raider!
ولا شَرَحَتْ مدوَّنَةَ المَعالي
سِوى فُتْيا أبي الحَسَنِ الصّغيرِ
Nor has anything explained the record of lofty deeds
except the legal opinion of Abu al-Hasan al-Saghir.
