The violet arrived, and what a welcome visitor it was.
An extraordinary fragrance wafted from it toward me.
I asked it what had happened, and it answered me:
And truth needs no witness to attest to it:
“I came seeking from Muhammad’s fingertips
a gift, and a reward came back to me from him.”
