The youth who you are enamored with quenched thirst

Come let us grant the cup its due

And may the eyelids be joyous in the path of tears

And may the sides of time be wiped

That it may return from its displeasure after displeasure

Do you have knowledge of what passion does

When the tear of the eye flows above its outlet

And what the recollection kindles when

A breeze wafts from you, suffusing the musk short of its vent

It was nothing but the glance the eyelid stole

And the heart became hostage to the sin of its crime

How can justice be that a man commits a crime

Then his neighbor takes the blame for his iniquities
