The souls were healed by the swords of steadfast youth
Who strode valiantly through Ukayl's land
Tested by days, they multiplied strikes upon
The enemies - their chests arebut gaping wounds
As if the march of ants were over their bodies
When their leopard-skins are not dyed by blood
They turn them white then emerge from them
Like the full clusters of palm trees ripened through months
At the hands of my cousin's sons, their faces like
Lamps that lit up the wilderness, their light
Zeal's love called Hazim, driving him
To a renowned one whose pride was poison's core
He took refuge in God's help, then in his mother's
A soul left without a helper to watch over
