يا فَرْحَةَ الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ إِذا

ما قِيلَ هذا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِي

O joy of the ancient house when

It is said this is Ahmad son of Ali

وافاهُ خَيْرُ مُعَرِّسٍ وَثَنى

عَنْهُ الأَزِمَّةَ خَيْرُ مُحْتَمِلِ

Good fortune met him when he married

And turned away hardship, endured by the steadfast

فَكَأَنَّنِي بِالْعِيسِ قافِلةً

بِأَبَرِّ نَزّالٍ وَمُرْتَحِلِ

It's as if I see the caravan returning

With the best lodging and on the move

سِرْ فِي ضَمانِ اللهِ مُكَتَنَفاً

حَتّى تَعُودَ مُبَلَّغَ الأَمَلِ

Travel safely in God's protection, shrouded

Until you spread hope fulfilled

فَلَكَمْ حَجَجْتَ بِما تُنَوِّلُهُ

وَأَرَحْتَ أَيْدِي الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ

How often you performed the pilgrimage with what

You bestowed and rested the horses and camels

لوْ كانَ يَغْنى عَنْ تَيَمُّمِهِ

أَحَدٌ غَنِيتَ بِصالِحِ الْعَمَلِ

If anyone could do without his determination

You would suffice, with your righteous deeds
