لا غروَ إنْ نالَ منْكَ السُّقمُ ما سألا
قد يُكسَف البدرُ أَحياناً إذا كَمُلا
No wonder if sickness sometimes overtakes you
The full moon itself gets eclipsed now and then
ما تَشتَكي علَّةً في الدَّهرِ واحِدةً
إلا اشْتَكى الجودُ من وجْدٍ بها عِللا
Do not complain of just one affliction from fate
Generosity itself complains if it finds in it a blemish
