O Lord of a voice forged by sinew
Tied to a leg above which is a foot
Hollow, with fingers pressed together
In motionless notes brought to life by melody
Divided into four for four
Its parts meld with souls
The smallest in hearts is the greatest
From it comes healing and illness
When it coos with the flap of its utterance
You'd say a dove answering its kin
It has a tongue in the palm of its striker
Speaking for it while it has no mouth
