قَدْ أوْضَحَ اللَّهُ للإِسْلامِ مِنْهاجا
وَالنَّاسُ قَدْ دَخَلُوا في الدِّينِ أَفْواجا
God has made clear to Islam a methodology,
And people entered religion in droves.
وقَدْ تَزيَّنتِ الدُّنيا لِساكِنها
كأَنَّما أُلْبِسَتْ وَشْياً وَدِيباجا
The world has been adorned for its inhabitants,
As if it has been clothed in silk and brocade.
يَا ابْنَ الخَلائِفِ إِنَّ المُزنَ لَوْ عَلِمَتْ
نَداكَ مَا كَانَ مِنْها الماءُ ثَجَّاجا
O son of Caliphs, if the clouds had known
Your call, water would not have poured from them as a flood.
وَالحَرْبُ لَوْ عَلِمَتْ بأساً تَصُولُ بِهِ
ما هَيَّجَتْ مِنْ حُمَيَّاكَ الَّذي اهْتاجا
And if war had known the might with which you attack,
It would not have stirred up your legendary courage.
ماتَ النِّفاقُ وَأَعْطى الْكُفْرُ ذِمَّتَهُ
وَذَلَّتِ الخَيْلُ إِلْجاماً وَإسْراجا
Hypocrisy is dead, and disbelief has given up its pact,
Horses kneel in submission and decoration.
وَأَصْبَحَ النَّصْرُ مَعْقوداً بِأَلْويَةٍ
تَطْوي المَراحِل تَهْجيراً وَإِدْلاجا
And victory is tied to standards
That fold up the miles, traveling and lodging.
أَدْخَلْتَ في قُبَّةِ الإسْلامِ مَارِقَةً
أَخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِ الشِّرْكِ إخْراجا
You have brought into the tent of Islam indirectly
And brought them out of the lands of polytheism directly.
بِجَحْفلٍ تَشْرَقُ الأَرْضُ الفَضَاءُ بِه
كالبَحْرِ يَقْذِفُ بالأَمْواجِ أَمْوَاجَا
With an army where the earth shines open
Like the sea casting wave after wave.
يَقُودُهُ البَدرُ يَسري في كواكِبِهِ
عَرَمْرَماً كَسَوادِ اللَّيْلِ رَجْراجا
Led by the full moon sailing among its planets
Noisily like the blackness of night tumbling.
يَرَونَ فِيهِ بُرُوقَ المَوْتِ لامِعَةً
وَيَسْمعُونَ بِهِ لِلرَّعْدِ أَهزاجا
In it they see the flashes of death gleaming
And hear in it thunder rumbling.
غادَرت في عَقوَتَي جَيَّانَ مَلْحَمَةً
أَبْكَيْتَ مِنْهَا بِأَرْضِ الشِّركِ أَعْلاجا
You left in Aqwatayn frowning battlegrounds
Where you made the lands of polytheism sob.
في نِصْفِ شَهْرٍ تَرَكْتَ الأَرْضَ ساكِنَةً
مِنْ بَعْدِ ما كانَ فِيْهَا الجوْرُ قَدْ ماجا
In half a month you left the earth settled
After oppression in it had spread.
وُجِدْتَ في الخَبَرِ المَأثُورِ مُنْصَلِتاً
مِنَ الخَلائِفِ خَرَّاجاً وَوَلّاجا
You were found in the news passed down uprooting
Tyrants and appointing ministers from the caliphs.
تُمْلا بِكَ الأَرْضُ عَدْلاً مِثْلَ مَا مُلِئَتْ
جَوْراً وَتُوضِحُ لِلْمَعْروفِ مِنْهاجَا
The earth fills through you with justice like it was filled
With injustice, and you clarify for good a methodology.
يَا بَدْرَ ظُلْمَتِها يَا شَمْسَ صُبْحَتِها
يَا لَيْثَ حَوْمَتِها إِنْ هائِجٌ هاجا
O full moon of its darkness, O sun of its morning,
O lion of its madness, it stirs stirred up.
إنَّ الخَلافَةَ لَنْ تَرْضى وَلا رَضِيَتْ
حَتّى عَقدْتَ لها في رَأسِكَ التَّاجا
Indeed the caliphate will not be pleased or content
Until you have crowned its head with the crown.
