وطَرْفٌ إذا ما فاهَ يَنْطقُ بالسِّحْرِ

A beauty beyond imagination's grasp

An eye whose glance when uttered, speaks magic

وَوجهٌ أَعارَ البَدرَ حُلَّة حاسِدٍ

فَمِنْهُ الَّذِي يسْوَدُّ في صَفْحَةِ البَدْرِ

A face that shames the moon, robed in envy's dress

Who else but he would darken the moon's face?
