دَعِ العُتبَ رأسا فَأَنتَ الرَّئيسُ
تغيّرُك العِلَّةُ المُردِيَه
Leave reproach altogether—for you are the chief;
the deadly malady changes you.
إِذا مَرِضَ القَلبُ كَيفَ الشِّفا
وَفيهِ هَوى الغرَّةِ المُبرِيَه
If the heart falls ill, how can it find healing,
when within it dwells love for the radiant beauty revealing herself?
