إنَّ الدَّقِيقَ وَلَعقَهُ
لَمِنَ السَّكِينَهِ وَألوَقَار
The judge licked the porridge
With calmness and dignity
لِلَّه دَرُّكَ قَاضِياً
قَد جَاءَ فِي مِسلاَحِ فَار
Bless you, judge
He came armed
لَعَقَ الهَرِيسَةَ جَاهِداً
وَاللَّيلُ مَسدُول الإزَار
He licked the porridge vigorously
While the night wrapped its waistcloth
وَأتَى لِمَجلِسِ حُكمهِ
وَعَلَيهِ أثَارُ الغُبَار
And came to his courtroom
Covered in dust
شَهِدَت على تَركِ الوُضُو
ءِ وَكَانَ عَاراً أيَّ عَار
Witnessed the abandonment of ablution
What a disgraceful disgrace
