The moon in the sky wears out clothes, while you,

O moon of the night, wear out bodies.

If your glances tear my patience and composure,

    Then they are arrows.

My heart grows sickly due to their sickness, and perhaps

The healthy is made sick by the sick.

Whoever desires to reach you must cross the sea of destruction,

For the masses have reached you, O Zubair!
