غَدا بِاِحمِرارِ الخَدِّ لِلحُسنِ جامِعاً
وَمَن فيهِ أَبدى لِلتَبَسُّمِ رُضوانا
With his cheek’s flush, he became a gatherer of beauty,
and from his mouth, for its smile, revealed Riḍwān—contentment and Paradise’s keeper.
فَأَبدى لَنا مِن ثَغرِهِ وَرُضابِهِ
وَعارِضِهِ راحاً وَرَوحاً وَرَيحانا
Then he showed us, from his smiling mouth and its nectar,
and from his cheek, wine, repose, and sweet basil.
