  1. O miser, who knows not what generosity is—

    baseness has forbidden him even a “yes” where generosity is concerned.

  2. At the Feast, they told me something about him

    that delighted me—for the vigilance he showed in what he resolved:

  3. he sought God’s guidance concerning his decision,

    then made his own nape the sacrifice, and had himself cupped.
