أَيا رَبَّ لا تَقبَل صَلاةَ مَعاشِرٍ

يَأُمُّهُمُ دَيرُ النُمَيرِيِّ رُكَّعا

O Lord, accept not the prayers of a people

تَقَدَّمَ يَوماً لِلصَلاةِ فَخِلتُهُ

حِماراً أَمامَ الرَكبِ سارَ فَأَسرَعا
