Tell me, O my worries, ask my soul
Who seduced me into love or backbit against me
No, who decreed misfortune upon affection
My passion, I have never been unfaithful in my devotion
I wish the messenger could convey
A glance from my eyes as he conveys my message
So I may see the evil of each day and it may cure
The sickness of my soul, my grief, and my depression
