بَيضاءُ إِن لَبِسَت بَياضاً خِلتَها

كَالياسِمينَ مُنَضَّداً في مَجلِسِ

وَإِذا بَدَت في حُمرَةٍ فَكَأَنَّها

وَردٌ مِنَ الدارِيِّ حُسناً مُكتَسي

If she appears in redness, it's as though she

Were a rose from an orchard, beautifully clad.

وَإِذا بَدَت في صُفرَةٍ فَكَأَنَّها

نِسرَينُ بُستانٍ كَريمِ المَغرِسِ

If she appears in yellow, it's as though she

Were a narcissus of a generous garden.

وَإِذا بَدَت في خُضرَةٍ في صُفرَةٍ

فَكَأَنَّها لِلحُسنِ باقَةُ نَرجِسِ

If she appears in green over yellow,

It's as though for beauty she's a narcissus bouquet.
