وَمُحَرِّقٍ طاقَينِ مِن سَبَجٍ
في عاجِ وَجهٍ لاحَ كَالسُرُجِ
With burning cheeks of chiseled ivory
That shine like lamps in the dark night
أَجسامُنا بِالسُقمِ قَد فَنِيَت
فَسَلوا مَحاسِنَهُ عَنِ المُهَجِ
Our bodies by disease are worn
Ask of their beauty that lifts the spirit
